Nomad will not open. |
If Nomad has been opening without problems - this
may not be a 'Nomad system problem." Close the system down and
reboot. |

Error message indicating Nomad can't find data. |
Usually happens after the hardware or other software
has been reconfigured. Check that the database locations are correct. |

Printouts are printing off the page. |
The margins need adjusting. See the printer setup. |

The printer is printing sideways on a dot matrix printer. |
Make sure the ‘Dot matrix Printer’ check-box is checked in the printer setup window. |

Dosage times not appearing on the backing sheet. |

On a dot matrix printer some characters are missing. |
The computer probably has the printer port set to ‘ECP’. You will need to change the bios settings so that the printer port is set to ‘SPP’. Consult the manual that came with your computer or contact the vendor who sold you the computer for details on how to do this. |

Scripts entered through the dispensing system are not being seen by Nomad |
Check that the patient has not been entered into the dispensing system more than once (with slightly different spellings). Check that the date in the ‘Load’ function in the patient’s medication profile window has been set far enough (see ‘Loading Scripts from your Dispensing System’). |

"Take Take" appears twice at start of
directions. |
The "Take" option has been ticked AND
"Take" is being entered in your pharmacy system. (Untick in Options.) |

The description does not appear for a
pharmaceutical. |
Descriptions need to be entered manually as new
pharmaceuticals are introduced. If a description does not appear it may be a new
product or a variation. Note descriptions are specific to a Brand Name, they do
not apply to generics. |
